- A Needs Assessment must be done by surveying each student, teacher, and administrator on our current technology.
- Each teacher must receive adequate training and support throughout the year on troubleshooting software dilemmas.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT-
- A. Software training on Podium, Inspiration, and Power Point
- B. Teachers will be trained on created Wikis, Blogs and Podcasts
- C. Teachers will work in collaborative groups to create a mid and end
- -of-year presentation/assessment
- D. Each collaborative group will be led my a
- technology committee member and will meet once a six weeks to work
- on presentation, share and troubleshoot to answer questions as a group.
- E. Teachers must attend staff development on Internet Security and
- Internet law.
ENCOURAGE STUDENT/TEACHER LEARNING
- Teachers will be required to turn in a working project in January and a final product in May.
- Each teacher will be encourage to have a group of students create a presentation and present to an administrator and/or CTC. This will be done every six weeks beginning with the second six weeks.
- CTC will provide staff development sessions weekly and offer technical support.
WORKING TOGETHER
- The District, technology department, campus administrators, and teachers will ensure that budget is allocated appropriately. Will use survey results, AYP, AEIS data, and other factors to determine priorities. This will be presented to Technology Committee.
- Teachers will be offered incentives for attending staff development by offering technological equipment.
- Make instructional technology a priority by putting all teacher-made, Internet links, blogs, podcasts, and other resources available on school server.
- Based on survey and meetings, CTC and administrator will determine what site licenses to purchase or terminate.
